About Us

The Beginning

Katharine Thomas started in the Cannabis and Hemp industry in 2015. Opening medical cannabis clinics, she quickly realized the need for education. So, she created the first education curriculum for cannabis and hemp. Through many trials and errors, Kate learned to farm hemp, like a pioneer. Soon, she realized there was not a lot of information on hemp and CBD.

She began to travel and talk about hemp to as many people as possible. In 2016, She created Halo Hemp Co. Just 2 products: CBD Oil and Liberation Oil CBD. As there were no rules or regulations as of yet, her products and brand were starting to blossom. However, legalization in Canada occurred, leaving Halo Hemp and Liberation Oil an illegal company.

Liberation Oil is a versatile and universal skincare products and Kate wanted to ensure that anyone had access. Fast forward to 2023, Kate had the pleasure of meeting Eric Putnam, a local business owner in Western New York.

The Turning Point

Eric S. Putnam has been a hairstylist and salon owner for over 40 years and has used many professional hair, skin, and makeup products in his salons and spas. Eric’s passion has always been creating essential oil combinations and products for hair and skin care.

Eric had a deep passion for hair and skincare, so he began researching different oils with different benefits—that is where CBD and CBG oil came into play.
